Family Health Staff

Family Health Staff is the one who cooperatively works with the family physician, on contract basis, or appointed by the Ministry of Health to act as a nurse, midwife and health staff.  

Duties of Family Health Staff

1- He/she is held responsible for providing all kinds of preventive, treating and rehabilitating health care procedures together with the family physician, and for recording the relevant services and statistics associated with his/her duty;

2- He/she measures and records the vital findings of the individuals;

3- Under the supervision of the family physician, he/she applies suggested medications;

4- He/she performs wound care;

5- He/she enables the availability of medical devices, materials and tools for the service;

6- He/she assists outpatient services, and enables coordination with the relevant institutions to which the individuals are transferred if a medical secretary is not employed;

7- He/she takes the sample for relevant tests, and carries out simple laboratory techniques for which he/she has been trained or enable the delivery of taken samples by the relevant laboratory;

8- He/she provides mobile and on-site health services as well as health promotion, preventive and maternal and child health services and assists the physician to deliver home care;

9- He/she participates in in-service trainings determined by the Ministry; and

10- He/she carries out other duties assigned by the family physician within the scope of his/her duty in order to perform health services.
