The family physician knows the society to which he/she provides service by being geographically close to family members and assesses their relationships with family, environment and business. The family physician is the person who has the best knowledge on health and life conditions of all members of family; therefore, he/she best knows how to apply preventive health implementations and health educations on individuals. These doctors evaluate individuals for whom they're responsible, not in a cycle of one disease but as a whole with risks, health conditions, psycho-social environment, acute or chronic health problems. Individuals’ satisfaction with the health service is important. The main principles are developing and strengthening primary health care with continuous education, encouraging physicians and other health employees, concentrating on preventive health system by considering individual's needs and applying an acceptable drive system. Materializing these principles will prevent patient accumulation at secondary level and ensure that there's enough time for the patients who need to be treated actually at secondary level. Providing primary care efficiently lessens the society's disease burden as well as giving a chance to secondary and tertiary level institutions to provide better and more qualified health services and health education.
